What size should I order for my dog?
Sizing
Our bandanas feature an adjustable Velcro closure for a comfortable, customizable fit. Sizes are made for x-small (toy breeds), small, medium, and large. Because every dog is built a little differently, we highly recommend measuring your dog's neck before ordering.
Available Sizes
- XS — Adjustable 8"–10"
- SM — Adjustable 11"–13"
- MED — Adjustable 13"–16"
- LG — Adjustable 17"–22"
Tip: If your pup is between sizes, we recommend sizing up for the most comfortable fit.
How to Measure
Using a soft measuring tape, measure around the widest part of your dog's neck where the bandana will naturally sit. Make sure you can comfortably fit two fingers between the tape and your dog's neck for the best fit.
Why are Northstar Dog Threads bandanas different?

What if it doesn't fit?
Check the sizing chart for neck size, weight, and type of breed. With our generous Velcro closure, the bandanas are adjustable for a nice fit.
What a Good Fit Looks Like
- •The bandana should have some drape and not be tight on the neck
- •You can comfortably fit two fingers between the bandana and your dog's neck
- •The Velcro closure sits flat and secure without pulling
What is your return or exchange policy?
We want you to love your bandana. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Important Note
Due to the nature of pet products, we cannot accept returns on used items.
What can be returned or exchanged:
- ✔Unused, unwashed items in original condition within 14 days of delivery
- ✔Exchanges for a different size or print

Are the fabrics prewashed?
Yes. We prewash our fabrics to help minimize shrinkage and keep the fit consistent after laundering.

Where are your bandanas made?
Every bandana is traced, cut, sewn, and quality-checked in our family studio in Northlake, Texas.

By our three-generation family — grandma sews, her daughters run the shop, and the grandkids pick the prints.
Are your bandanas handmade?
Yes. Each one is individually crafted and inspected by our family.

How do I wash the bandana?
Machine wash cold and lay flat to dry, or tumble dry on low.

Should my dog wear the bandana unsupervised?
As with any pet accessory, we recommend supervising your dog while wearing their bandana and removing it during unsupervised play or crate time.
